… high in the mountains of eastern California HJK found the « material » for his wonderfully beautiful photo collages.
In these photo collages, everything is absolutely right. Every detail is thought out. One finds correspondences, harmonies, and to some degree « contrapuntal » crossings of motives.

Repeatedly the observer is tempted to see figuers : devotion, vulnerability, attraction or also sublime eroticism are associations which K. would like to evoke.
In doing so he lets the « universal language of music » a well as literatur stimulate him ; for example, Hesse’s « Glasperlenspiel » (The Glass Bead Game)
